49ers star LB Fred Warner shows ‘love’ for Jed York amid prostitution scandal

Add The California Post on Google San Francisco 49ers star linebacker Fred Warner addressed Jed York being arrested after trying to pay a woman $140 for sex over the weekend at a trailer park in East Palestine, Ohio.

“I mean, we’re all aware, right? I think we all have social media, so we see things. But at the same time, you know, I got a lot of love, a lot of respect for Jed, and don’t feel the need to comment on the situation,” Warner said, per the California Post’s Evan Webeck.

Of course, yeah, you notice it, but at the same time, we’re still hyper focused in this building of trying to prepare for Week 1.

“You know, a lot of guys are on the bubble trying to make the team, so you know we’re we’re just trying to get better as a football team and letting that you know that’s a personal situation, letting it stay personal with him,” Warner added.

It isn’t surprising to hear this from Warner, if only because the 49ers’ focus has to remain on the upcoming season at this point.

But despite Warner’s claim, it’s hard to imagine that York’s arrest, the details behind it, and its potential implications aren’t being discussed among the 49ers’ roster at this point, even if behind closed doors.
