The eight-time Grammy winner is currently hitting arenas all over North America as part of her ongoing nationwide trek in support of her recently-released sixth studio album that shares a name with the tour.
While out and about, she’s slated to headline at New York City’s Madison Square Garden with special guest Flatland Cavalry twice. Those shows will take place:
Monday, Aug. 317:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 17:30 p.m.

On Aug. 21 — her 38th birthday — the outspoken country icon officially launched the arena portion of the ‘Middle of Nowhere Tour’ at Chicago’s United Center.
Set List FM reported that she unleashed a 21-song set that evening. Just a few of the notable tracks included her breakthrough smash “Follow Your Arrow,” debut single “Merry Go ‘Round,” Grammy-winning “Space Cowboy,” beloved “Slow Burn,” and “Golden Hour” fan favorite “Butterflies.”
Glide Magazine raved that “the band pushed to the finish line with gusto – no muss, no fuss, no encore…she finished the show by nodding to her Texas roots with a swaying cover of George Strait’s classic ‘All My Ex’s Live in Texas,’ set to a jaunty piano and drum beat.”

From Sept. 24-27, the annual Bourbon and Beyond Festival returns to Louisville, KY’s Kentucky Exposition Center.
Headliners joining Musgraves over the long weekend include Mumford and Sons, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews Band, The Red Clay Strays, Jessie Murph and many, many more.

On May 1, Musgraves dropped her sixth studio album “Middle Of Nowhere.”
The peaceful record gets underway with the quiet title track “Middle of Nowhere,” which is a head-swaying, sad singalong. Shimmering guitar licks, longing vocals, shifting tempos and lots of heart make this melancholy track a winner in our book.
Other highlights include the melancholy ear worm “Back On The Wagon,” dance-y almost disco “I Believe In Ghosts,” slowed-down honky tonk anthem “Abilene,” strummy, bluegrass “Everybody Wants To Be A Cowboy” with Billy Strings and carnival-like “Horses and Divorces” feat. Miranda Lambert.
Best of all though might be “Dry Spell,” a funky ode to “[letting] people know how little [she] had going on.” Filled with cheeky lyrics about “sitting on the washing machine” and “I’m so lonely, lonely with a capital H if you know what I mean” mesh perfectly with propulsive Dire Straits-like backbeat to make desperation somehow seem cool.

PS: Don’t sleep on the Willie Nelson duet “Uncertain” either. It’s a lovely piece of country music…and “Mexico Honey” is something special, too. Really, there’s no filler here. If you haven’t listened ot the album yet, do yourself a favor and dive in.
