Montreal airport marshaller seriously injured after being struck by plane: reports

The signaller, who hasn’t been identified, tripped and was struck Monday night by the Airbus A350 French Bee plane was bound for Paris, France, Radio Canada reported.

One woman claimed the man went under the plane while it was moving.

The injured signaller was hospitalized with serious injuries, Montreal cops said, refusing to share any further details.

Emergency service vehicles surrounded the plane in the aftermath of the accident.

The flight, operated by the French low-cost carrier, was supposed to leave Montreal-Trudeau airport at 6 p.m. local time but it did not take off until after midnight Tuesday.

It’s set to land at Paris’ Orly airport just after 1 p.m. French time.“The precise circumstances of the incident have not yet been established,” a French Bee spokesperson said Monday, confirming the accident happened.

“French Bee is cooperating fully with Canadian authorities and the various parties involved to help establish the facts.

“The airline’s immediate priority is caring for those affected by the incident and supporting its passengers and crew.”
