Chelsea Freeman shared a photo of her in a hospital bed appearing to be hooked up to an IV earlier this month. The photo was captioned, “Had a little health scare yesterday… but thankfully I’m home & doing okay. So grateful for the amazing EMTs, nurses, doctors & my family who took such good care of me.
“A good reminder that that health really is everything and if something feels off, getting checked out is always the right choice,” she added.
Freeman later said that she awakened in the middle of the night with sharp pain in her chest and back, fearing she was experiencing a heart attack.
She spoke with several doctors, who suspected that she may have experienced pericarditis (an inflammation of the pericardium, a sac-like structure that surrounds the heart) or myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle).
The good news is that Chelsea is now feeling better. And she still looks great, which was shown by the Instagram post she made on Sunday, that showed her posing in a white dress in Malibu.
“Golden hour in Malibu ✨☀️🌊,” the post was captioned.
The health scare was even more terrifying for the Freeman family because Freddie was on a road trip at the time.
He and the Dodgers are headed to Atlanta to face the Braves on Tuesday, but he can rest assured knowing that his wife’s health appears to be stable.
