Add The New York Post on Google Karen Solomon, the Massachusetts fugitive suspected in the death of her cop husband, is believed to have been found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said Monday.
Solomon, 58, went missing and was “presumed armed and dangerous” after her husband, veteran police officer Kurt Solomon, was found dead in their home on Aug. 18, Worcester Police said.
She had been the subject of a massive manhunt after video surveillance footage captured her casually walking away from the crime scene, police said.
Police were dispatched to the Worcester home on a call of a medical emergency, only to find the veteran cop dead and his wife missing.
Kurt Solomon was a 31-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department.
His wife was the author of two books – “Hearts Beneath the Badge” and “The Price They Pay” – and was a leading advocate for first responders, founding the group First H.E.L.P.
Police said there was no history of domestic violence between the two.
