Allison Rahmani, 40, was behind the wheel when she lost control of her car, which plunged into the swimming pool at her home in Hewlett, Nassau County, on Friday, JNS reported.

Rahmani was able to call for help but died in an ambulance en route to the hospital, a source close to the family told JNS.

NBC New York The mom of four was a teacher and math coordinator at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway, while her husband, Matthew, is president of Irving Place Minyan Modern Orthodox synagogue in Woodmere.

Tributes were paid to Rahmani under a community Facebook post sharing the news.

“Tragic! She was the most amazing person. I can’t believe she’s gone,” one user wrote.

“Always a smile, a friendly chat. Baruch dayan ha’emet [Blessed is the true judge], & condolences to her family,” added another.

“She was a LIGHT that shined from the minute she walked in til the minute she left. Always appreciative and kind to us all. She will be missed,” wrote a third.
