@lizburrito Published March 6, 2026, 11:00 a.m. ET Where to Stream: The Moment Powered by Reelgood This week’s new movies on VOD include Charli XCX starring as herself (kinda) in The Moment, and the third and final film in The Strangers trilogy reboot.
Also arriving on demand this week is the horror film Whistle, which stars Dafne Keen as a teenager named Chrys, who comes across an ancient Aztec death whistle. And since Chrys and her friends apparently never watched that episode of The Brady Bunch where Peter Brady finds a cursed tiki in Hawaii and starts wearing it and then realizes bad things happen when you mess with cursed objects, Chrys and her friends blow the whistle and, you know, bad things start happening to them. Like death.
Charli XCX plays a fictionalized version of herself in the new A24 release The Moment, a mockumentary that sends up the life of the pop star. She conceived the idea for the film while on tour in 2024 and addresses and satirizes the pressure the music industry puts on its biggest stars. The film features several actors, like Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette and Kate Berlant as fictional characters, with celebs like Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott and Julia Fox playing exaggerated versions of themselves.
The Strangers: Chapter 3 closes out the rebooted trilogy of The Strangers franchise starring Madelaine Petsch. In this latest installment, Petsch returns as Maya Lucas, the one person who has been able to survive being attacked by the murderous group known as The Strangers. This time around, The Strangers (played by Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath and Ella Bruccoleri) are terrorizing her once again while she attempts to get her own revenge on them.
