Before what would be a 4-3 Blue Jays victory, Aaron Boone revealed that Giancarlo Stanton recently had fallen while running the bases and injured his left calf, just as he was approaching a return from what had been multiple injuries to his right calf. The chances of the slugger playing again this season are now low.

Then, during the fourth inning, Ryan Weathers walked off the mound with what the Yankees termed “left forearm discomfort.”
