Janie Bradford Hobbs, Motown ‘unsung hero’ who co-wrote ‘Money,’ dead at 87

Add The California Post on Google Motown legend Janie Bradford Hobbs, who helped write the hit song “Money (That’s What I Want),” has died at 87.

Hobbs, who started at a receptionist at the iconic record label in the late 1950s, went on to co-write the classic track later covered by The Beatles, according to the AP.

Hobbs also wrote songs for The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Supremes.
