Add Page Six on Google Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne has taken out a newspaper ad to officially drop her dad’s last name.
The 18-year-old has published notice of her petition in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four consecutive weeks, per court docs obtained by Page Six.
According to the docs, Vivienne ran the notice from July 24 to August 14. The ad also calls for anyone opposing the change to submit a written opposition before the final hearing.
Her next hearing is Nov. 2, where a judge can approve the request if no one objects.
Running a public ad is just one of California’s requirements for a legal name change.
As Page Six previously reported, Vivienne filed to legally drop “Pitt” from her last name in July.
In court docs we obtained, she requested her name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie and listed the reason as “personal.”
Marcheline Bertrand, notably, is the name of Jolie’s late mom, who died in 2007 after a battle with ovarian and breast cancer.
Vivienne previously ditched her dad’s surname in 2024 while working with her mom on the Broadway adaptation of “The Outsiders.”
At the time, her name was listed as “Vivienne Jolie” in the show’s Playbill.
Pitt and Jolie have six children in total: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and 18-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Vivienne is following in her siblings’ footsteps as several of them have also taken legal action to drop “Pitt” from their last names.
Page Six reported last month that her sister Zahara and brother Maddox also took out ads in the Los Angeles Daily Journal to fulfill the state’s requirement.
Zahara now has a scheduled Sept. 28 court hearing for a judge to rule on the motion, while Maddox’s next hearing is currently unknown.
The ex-couple’s child Shiloh was the first of the bunch to make things official by removing Pitt from her last name on her 18th birthday.
The teenager “hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself,” “Entertainment Tonight” reported in June 2024.
