In Rose of Nevada, Callum Turner and George Mackay star as two men who accept a job as fishermen on a boat, the Rose of Nevada, that is clearly cursed. The vessel was once lost at sea, but returned mysteriously after thirty years. Once the men start working aboard the boat, their own reality it turned upside down when they are transported back in time by thirty years and begin to live the lives of the crewmates who were all lost at sea. The film was written and directed by Mark Jenkin, who previously helmed Bait and Enys Men.
“Toys are for play, but tech is for everything,” Sheriff Woody (Tom Hanks) says ominously in the Toy Story 5 trailer, which continues the story of Andy’s (and now Bonnie’s) beloved, analog toys as they wonder if they’re becoming obsolete. When Bonnie’s parents get her an iPad-like toy called a LilyPad (voiced by Greta Lee), Bonnie starts to use it to communicate with her friends and play video games, discarding her old toys (this is especially triggering for Cowgirl Jessie, who has been discarded more often that she cares to remember). The toys enlist the help of Woody, an entire army of Buzzes, and a new friend named Blaze to help Bonnie rediscover her love of playtime.
