This weekend, Netflix has quite a few new releases to get excited about, including the series premiere of Vladimir, the new true-crime documentary The TikTok Killer, and the high-octane sci-fi action thriller War Machine. These titles are all out now, but you’ll have to make time for a few more big premieres, too, including the final season premiere of Outlander on Starz, and the series premiere of Rooster on HBO Max, the newest show from Bill Lawrence.
In the new Netflix sci-fi action thriller War Machine, an elite unit of U.S. Army Rangers encounters an otherworldly being during a training exercise. As this creature hunts them down, it requires all the brute force and brawn of one Mr. Alan Ritchson to fight it off. The film also co-stars Dennis Quaid, Easi Morales, Stephan James, and Jai Courtney, and it’s available to stream now.
If Scrubs and Shrinking weren’t keeping showrunner Bill Lawrence busy enough at the moment, he’s also got another brand new show, Rooster, premiering on HBO Max this Sunday. Rooster stars Steve Carell as a writer who wants to help his grown daughter as she deals with a personal crisis in an attempt to heal their own complicated relationship. Charly Clive, Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley and Connie Britton all co-star. New episodes will roll out weekly on Sundays.
Who’s ready for even more sexy time travel? Outlander‘s eighth and final season begins this Friday on Starz, picking up with Claire and Jamie Fraser (Caitriona Balfe and San Heughan) settling back into life at home in America, but even though the Revolutionary War is behind them, they’ve got plenty of new challenges ahead. New episodes of Outlander will air every Friday on Starz.
