Cynthia Bailey claims Vicki Gunvalson had ‘no idea’ who she was during ‘RHUGT’ party

With Danny and Evan TV exclusive Cynthia Bailey claims Vicki Gunvalson had ‘no idea’ who she was during ‘RHUGT’ party By Samantha Nungesser, Danny Murphy and Evan Real Published Aug. 20, 2026, 5:26 p.m. ET Vicki Gunvalson had “no clue” who Cynthia Bailey was when they filmed “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” together.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star dished on her awkward interaction with Gunvalson while chatting exclusively with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea.”

“I go up to Vicki [and] she literally has no idea who I am,” Bailey, 59, said. “She might’ve been a little afraid of me, actually.”

Gunvalson, 64, didn’t recognize Bailey because she was dressed as 50 Cynt, the male alter ego she created while celebrating her 50th birthday at a Halloween party in “RHOA” Season 10.

Bailey said she “assumed” Gunvalson would know she was someone from the cast, especially since they were filming at a party in Atlanta when the exchange went down.

“[Gunvalson is] looking at me like I’m crazy, so finally I’m like, ‘Vicki, it’s Cynthia,'” Bailey recalled. “She’s like, ‘Cynthia?’ I’m like, ‘Bailey … from the Atlanta Housewives.’”

“[Gunvalson is] like, ‘Oh, my God! I didn’t know who you were!’”

It’s not unlike the “Real Housewives of Orange County” icon to mix up Real Housewives.

In the second episode of “RHUGT: Roaring 20th,” Gunvalson accidentally mistook “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Crystal Kung Minkoff for Sutton Stracke.

“I did Vicki’s podcast [before that], but sometimes we get mixed up,” Kung Minkoff, 43, told Page Six.

“RHUGT: Roaring 20th” celebrates the 20th anniversary of “Real Housewives,” featuring a cross-country road trip with some of the most iconic stars from the franchise.

After leaving “RHOC” in 2020, Gunvalson made her return to Bravo in the show’s milestone 20th season.

Executive producer Andy Cohen asked her back to the franchise while hosting The Bravos at BravoCon 2025.

Gunvalson is also one of the core cast members of “RHUGT: Roaring 20th,” along with Lisa Barlow, Teresa Giudice, Porsha Williams, Kyle Richards and Gizelle Bryant.

More than 80 “Real Housewives” are set to make cameos as the women travel from Orange County to Beverly Hills to Atlanta to Miami to New York City to The Berkshires.

“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th” airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
