The suspect, who police believe is armed, was seen racing around South Los Angeles before stopping at a gas station to fuel up.
The rider then hopped back on his bike and peeled away, tearing off a piece of the pump as he sped off.
The suspect, wearing a head covering, was also spotted holding his cellphone to his ear and scrolling through the device during the chase.
