Neko Health Scan opening first US clinic in NYC in September

Add The New York Post on Google Neko Health Scan is bringing its proprietary health-monitoring technology to New York for the first time. The Swedish-launched company will open an 11,000-square-foot facility at 300 Lafayette St. in September.

Founded by Spotify executive chairman Daniel Ek, Neko pioneered an affordable ($499), non-invasive and radiation-free scan that captures data on cardiovascular, metabolic and other bodily functions in just 60 minutes, followed by a physician’s review.

Newmark brokered the deal for the tenant. Intervest and Ridgebrook Partners are the building’s owners.

The Soho clinic will be one of Neko’s largest and most advanced facilities. The brand has a large footprint in Sweden and the UK. It plans more Big Apple locations soon and will also expand to Miami and San Francisco.

Neko co-Founder and CEO Hjalmar Nilsonne said, “New York felt like the right place to bring that idea to the US. It’s a city where people are used to having access to the best of everything and we think healthcare should be no different.”
