“It’s Always Sunny in Philaldephia” returns tonight, Aug. 17, with back-to-back new episodes. The longest-running American live-action sitcom is entering its 18th season.

In this supersized season — with 10 episodes — Charlie (Charlie Day), Mac (Rob Mac), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) will be up to some of their usual tricks: “salvaging inheritances from a dead woman, surviving tent encampments and the great inside-outside divide between the haves and have-nots, withstanding job loss at the hands of workplace automation, embracing a newfound appreciation for neurodivergence, questioning the fabric of society against conspiracy theories,” per FX’s official synopsis of the new season.

The gang will also encounter “nerds, LARPers, and a particularly petulant McPoyle clan at the Renaissance Faire” and attempt to get back “into the good graces of their community by sponsoring a Little League team.”

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Season 18 premieres tonight, Aug. 17.

“Always Sunny” airs back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. ET tonight.

You can watch today’s “Always Sunny” premiere for free with a DIRECTV free trial. FXX, where the episodes will air, is included in a number of streaming plans, including Entertainment, Choice and the MyEntertainment Genre Pack.

You can also watch new episodes at the same time they air on FXX on Hulu. If you’re new to Hulu, the basic (with ads) price is $11.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.

If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu and start at $12.99/month.

Season 18 will have 10 episodes, and after tonight’s two-episode premiere, one new episode will air every Monday night through Oct. 12.
