Add The New York Post on Google Hayden Panettiere spoke optimistically about the future in a heartbreaking interview just months before her shocking death, saying she had “a lot more life to live.”
The “Nashville” and “Heroes” star told podcaster Jay Shetty in May that she was excited to move forward with her life after years of “darkness” and personal struggles.

“I’ve closed one door and another door is opened … I can feel all the exciting possibilities. I feel like I have a lot more life to live.”
The actress appeared on the podcast to promote her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” in which she documents her battles with mental health and addiction.
But as she discussed her painful past, she said her thoughts were focused on a brighter and happier future, and that she saw “exciting possibilities” ahead for her.
Panettiere suffered from severe postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter, Kaya, in 2014, and made the difficult decision for the child to primarily live with her father, former heavyweight boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko.
The actress’ father confirmed her death in a statement Sunday.

“She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” the statement continued.
Neither her cause of death, nor the circumstances behind it, were immediately provided.
