Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post The Braves’ rotation was hit by elbow injuries to Spencer Schwellenbach and Hurston Waldrep, and there’s no good reason they shouldn’t make a play for Lucas Giolito, who shockingly is still available.

The Braves make undeniably enormous profits, a fact well known since they’re owned by a public company. No excuses!

Braves OF/DH Jurickson Profar’s second PED ban in two years is another big blow. Profar got his big $42M, three-year deal off his career year in 2024 with the Padres. Now we know the secret to that year.

He only received half a year’s pay last year due to his first ban, and assuming he loses his appeal this year, will be paid nothing. But if he had any integrity, he’d pay back his ill-gotten $7M from 2025.
