Add The New York Post on Google Jordyn Tyson’s rookie campaign might be delayed.
The Saints will be without the first-round wide receiver after he suffered a right hamstring injury during a joint practice on Thursday with the Jaguars.
Head coach Kellen Moore confirmed Friday that Tyson will miss time but stopped short of providing a timetable for his return.

When asked whether the injury could affect Tyson’s availability for the beginning of the regular season, Moore admitted it was possible.
“We’ve just got to let these experts evaluate this and then we’ll put together a plan,” Moore told reporters. “Not going to jump to conclusions. I don’t have a doctor in front of my name, so I’m not going to jump to put together a timeline on it.”
Tyson was injured Thursday while participating in the Saints’ joint practice with the Jaguars, where he landed awkwardly after catching a pass.

“I think my understanding of this one, any player that was put in his situation where your foot slips and you get shoved from behind, this has nothing to do with Jordyn’s history,” Moore said. “Any player in that situation probably has the same diagnosis coming out of this.”
Tyson also dealt with a hamstring problem during his final year at Arizona State and was limited to nine appearances in his redshirt junior season, finishing with 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns.
This followed his breakout campaign, where Tyson accumulated 1,101 yards on 75 catches and 10 touchdowns.
Tyson suffered a broken collarbone late in the 2024 season, which cut his season short, preventing him from playing in any of the team’s final two games, including the Big 12 Championship and the Peach Bowl.
