Grisly mystery as woman’s dog-bitten body discovered in LA homeless encampment

A woman’s body was discovered covered in dog bites at a Los Angeles homeless encampment.

Police made the grim discovery after a receiving a call from a resident of the south LA encampment late Wednesday night.

Officers from Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene on the 1100 block of West 87th Street around 11:40 p.m.

Officers were seen putting up police tape at the scene. LASD Homicide Lt. Steven De Jong told Fox 11 it wasn’t clear whether the unidentified victim was bitten before or after she died.

A brown puppy was seen was later spotted being carried away from the scene by an officer.
