Add The California Post on Google Ricky Pearsall appears to be in good spirits after having season-ending knee surgery for a torn PCL on Thursday morning.
Pearsall shared a photo of himself on Instagram, lying in a hospital bed after having knee surgery.
In the photo, Pearsall is seen flexing his arm, while being joined by his family in the hospital.
“Nothing to be disappointed about. No regrets. No what ifs,” Pearsall wrote. “Just peace in the midst of yet another trial, knowing I did everything I could.”
View this post on Instagram With his season officially over, Pearsall said his focus now will be on getting healthy and ready over the next 9 months.
“The road back starts now. I’m ready for every part of it. Every early morning. Every setback. Every Small win nobody sees,” Pearsall wrote. “Every step that gets me closer to stepping back on that field.”
Pearsall went on to thank everyone who’s been supporting him through his NFL career and wrote: “Now it’s time to prove exactly what I know I am and become everything God gave me the potential to be.”
It has been an up-and-down journey for Pearsall through his first three seasons in the NFL, as the veteran wide receiver has appeared in only 20 games and has been plagued by injuries, including a gun shot wound to the chest weeks before he was slated to make his NFL rookie debut in 2024.
Pearsall’s knee injury was something that has been bothering him since week 4 of last season, as he’s been dealing with swelling in it.
It was reported that he could’ve had surgery on the injured knee last February or March but elected not to, as it was considered a “calculated risk,” that did not pan out.

Pearsall will have one more year left on his rookie deal he signed with the 49ers after being selected with the 31st pick of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Florida.
It remains to be seen whether the 49ers will look to extend the talented wideout.
