2-MIN READ2-MIN ListenCannix YauPublished: 9:30pm, 13 Aug 2026Hong Kong authorities have invited interested parties to submit expressions of interest to develop land parcels set aside for a modern logistics cluster under the Northern Metropolis megaproject.The Transport and Logistics Bureau and the Civil Engineering and Development Department said the sites would meet long-term demand, promote the development of modern logistics and reinforce the city’s position as an international hub for the industry.
“Through the [expressions of interest], the government hopes to gauge the industry’s interest in developing the first five available sites in the Hung Shui Kiu logistics cluster, as well as its views on the proposed development terms, infrastructure requirements, development scenarios, land disposal options, financial viability, etc,” a bureau spokesman said.
He added that the government would formulate land lease terms and the overall development mode after taking the collected views into account.
Submissions must be received by noon on November 13, authorities said.
The planned 32-hectare logistics cluster is split into five functional zones within the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area in the western Northern Metropolis.
Authorities said the location of the cluster had strategic geographical importance, citing its proximity to Shenzhen Bay checkpoint and convenient connection to Hong Kong International Airport and Kwai Tsing Container Terminals.
