Colorado mom has fifth-grade son ‘arrested’ for refusing to take back-to-school photo

When Amanda Stolz’s son, Colton, gave her grief about wanting to take a photo on his first day of school on Monday, she turned to the law for help, according to her viral Facebook post.

Stolz was driving Colton to school when she encountered Keenesburg Officer Jack Ross, who flashed his emergency lights and handcuffed the grade schooler for not listening ot his mother, CBS News reported.

Stolz shared images of the cop placing Colton in custody, including one of the soon-to-be fifth-grader laughing as he was escorted into the police car. “He may or may not have ended up in handcuffs before school,” she said.

Stolz shared images of the cop placing Colton in custody, including one of the soon-to-be fifth-grader laughing as the officer placed his hands behind his back and escorted him into the police car.

“It was awesome that Officer Jack took it serious,” Stolz told CBS Colorado. “We were like, ‘Well, I guess we have you back-to-school pictures now, don’t we?'”

“Here’s to 5th grade buddy!” she added on Facebook.
