After the snapshot, the model — who has been tagged as the Uruguayan Kim Kardashian — turned and walked away from Rodriguez, who leaned in to kiss her in front of the photographers.
She left the 23-year-old to sheepishly scratch his head in an awkward moment that has gone viral since the clip surfaced on social media.
The influencer, who is also 23, defended the moment in the aftermath to confirm there is no rift between the couple.
“When I entered, I greeted him and when I left, I was very nervous,” she said, per The Sun. “The moment overwhelmed me and I preferred to give him space.
“There was no disrespect or anything like what they are trying to make it seem like.”
Rodriguez, a striker, has joined the club on loan and will join two former Premier League stars — former Leeds midfielder Luis Sinisterra and ex-West Bromwich midfielder Matheus Pereira.

Cruzeiro ranks fifth in Série A with 33 points, sitting 15 points behind league leader Palmeiras.
Rodriguez could debut against Flamengo on Wednesday as part of the South America tournament Copa Libertadores.
