So far, Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) and his staff have had to deal with a neighboring hospital’s abrupt closure, the death of a beloved long-time patient, and now a full-on logistical nightmare. When the HBO Max show finally revealed that Westbridge Hospital closed due to a cyberattack, it was a prelude to PTMC voluntarily shutting off its internet to avoid the same predicament.
As if the external forces dogging the characters on The Pitt weren’t bad enough, the sophomore season of the HBO Max hit opened with Dr. Robby arriving for his last day before a long sabbatical. Robby’s been spending the day clashing with his replacement, Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi), and avoiding the newly-sober and contrite Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball). Meanwhile, head charge nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) has clearly not processed her attack in Season 1, Dr. Mel King (Taylor Dearden) is anxiously awaiting her first malpractice deposition, and Dr. Samira Mohan (Supriya Ganesh) is facing down an existential crisis thanks to her mom blowing up her future plans.
