A 47-year-old woman has been charged after four men were stabbed in central London.

Stella Gollovena, of no fixed address, was charged with four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, the Metropolitan police said.

Officers were called to Endell Street in Covent Garden, at about 12.30pm on Wednesday after four men, aged 34, 39, 42 and 56, were found with stab wounds.

The men were taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing. They have since been discharged.

Gollovena was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. She will appear at Highbury magistrates’ court later on Thursday.

London’s air ambulance landed at Trafalgar Square to attend to the incident. But the four men were treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital by road.
