Talented film and TV makeup artist, 26, for ‘Barbie’ and ‘Bridgerton’ dies in car crash

Ava Gillies, 26, was driving down a carriageway in Wrelton, England when a black Audi A4 slammed into her white Volkswagen Polo on July 26, North Yorkshire police said.

She had worked as a makeup artist for over five years, according to the cosmetician’s website.

Her credits included makeup work on the hit movies “Barbie”, “Wonder Woman 1984” and “Snow White” while she also contributed her talents to popular TV shows like “Bridgerton”, “The Crown” and “Star Wars Acolyte”, according to IMDb.

Gillies’ family mourned her loss, calling it “immeasurable.”

“Ava, we will always, always miss you, your wit, your charm, your beauty, your feisty confidence, your many talents and your excellence in your field: hair & makeup for film and TV,” the family said in a statement released through police.

Plans for a funeral are to be announced “in due course,” according to the family’s statement.
