Brie injured her shoulder and was hospitalized after the Bella twins and Paige lost to the Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid) at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
“I wanted to thank you all for sending me all the love and warm wishes,” Brie, 42, wrote, including x-ray images of her shoulder and a video of her laying on a ambulance gurney. “When I was sitting in the hospital, I was reading everything you guys were sending my way, love you all!!!

Not sure how I finished that match, but I do believe between the adrenaline, passion for the business and the love for all the women I work with, it gave me the drive to finish.
“Now my new journey starts!! [Son] Buddy said he’s going to be my assistant, [daughter] Birdie‘s going to be my nurse and they both told me that [husband, Bryan Danielson] daddy is going to be my personal chef, so I am set!! if there is one thing I know about Brie Mode, she always finds a way to come back to her wrestling home. Let the recovery begin. 🫶🏽”
Brie Bella on a stretcher after she sustained a shoulder injury in a six-woman tag team match during WWE’s 2026 SummerSlam Night 1 on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Instagram/Brie Bella Brie appeared to injure her shoulder when Jacy slammed her into the steel stairs outside the ring.
She held her shoulder for the rest of the match and afterward when Nikki turned on Paige in the ring.
During an appearance on a live taping of WWE’s “Busted Open Radio” on Sunday, Nikki said she was told to “zip it” on her identical twin sister’s injury.
“She’s doing okay. She’s in a lot of pain,” Nikki said. “They are still determining what is going on and Brie will share that whenever. I’ve been told to ‘zip it.'”

Brie did not attend the autograph session due to her injury.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H said it “seems pretty bad” when he was asked about Brie’s injury during a post-show press conference on Saturday.
“She’s injured. I don’t have an update yet. She was here, got some treatment here [and] has been taken to the hospital to get some scans done,” he said.
“I don’t have a clean answer yet. I know [she] hurt her shoulder. Seems pretty bad, but I don’t have that answer yet. Hopefully, we will soon and hopefully it won’t be as bad as we thought it was, but that’s the nature of the game.
“We’ll pivot accordingly for everything. It’s unfortunate, I hate it. It’s part of our business.”
Nikki, who returned to action from an ankle injury, said last week that she is “close to the end” of her wrestling career.
