Where Ethan Slater stands with ex-wife Lilly Jay after Ariana Grande breakup: report

Add Page Six on Google Ethan Slater is not reconciling with his ex-wife, Lilly Jay, after his split from Ariana Grande, TMZ reported on Sunday.

Sources close to Jay told the outlet she’s “absolutely not” getting back together with the “Wicked” actor, with whom she shares 3-year-old son Ezra.

Additionally, the insiders insisted Slater, 34, is not trying to win back his former high school sweetheart.

Sources reiterated Slater and Jay’s relationship is strictly about co-parenting.

Slater and Jay were married for nearly four years before he filed for divorce in 2023, a week after news broke that he was dating Grande, 33, following her split from husband Dalton Gomez.

At the time, Jay blasted Grande to Page Six and called her family “just collateral damage.”

However, a source insisted at the time that Grande and Slater — who met on the set of “Wicked” — “didn’t do anything wrong.”

“[Jay is] rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan didn’t do anything wrong,” the insider said, telling us that Slater had been separated from Jay for two months before romancing Grande.

In Dec. 2024, Jay wrote an emotional essay for The Cut where she admitted she “never thought” she’d get divorced.

“Especially not just after giving birth to my first child and especially not in the shadow of my husband’s new relationship with a celebrity,” she penned.

Jay also shared that co-parenting her son with Slater has remained solid despite their breakup.

“While our partnership has changed, our parenthood has not,” she said. “Both of us fiercely love our son 100 percent of the time, regardless of how our parenting time is divided.”

Slater and Grande, for their part, privately dated for three years before Page Six confirmed their split in June.

“Ariana and Ethan broke up several months ago, but they’ve remained friends since then and have nothing but respect and admiration for one another,” a source told us.

“This wasn’t a decision they took lightly but realized they were better off friends than in a committed relationship.”

Grande has since reconciled with ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, Page Six confirmed last month.

The Grammy Award winner and her former backup dancer dated between 2015 and 2016.

On Sunday, Grande’s team revealed the singer is pulling out of her West End debut as she takes a “much-deserved break” from the spotlight amid concerns over her weight.

“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” her rep said.

They added that Grande has been dealing with “endless, ongoing public scrutiny” but “looks forward to finishing” her tour in September.
