The conference is set to hire former MLB executive Tim Brosnan as the league’s new commissioner, according to ESPN.
He replaces Val Akerman, who retired after the 2026 season following 13 years at the helm.

He left MLB in 2014 after losing out to Rob Manfred to be the sport’s commissioner to pursue other business ventures.
