The incident unfolded around 3 p.m. at the six-story office building located at 5800 Bristol Parkway in Culver City.
The emergency was initially dispatched as a structure fire, with first responders also receiving reports that people could be trapped inside elevators.

Authorities ultimately evacuated the building, with TikTok employees seen waiting in nearby courtyards and along surrounding streets as crews investigated the situation.
Despite the alarming reports, no major injuries were reported.
“There was what is believed to be an electrical fire and no signs of foul play,” Jennifer Atenza, Culver City Police Department PIO, told The California Post. “The fire has been extinguished.” She added that Southern California Edison will assess damages.
