‘American Idol’ contestant Caleb Flynn tossed in solitary confinement after allegedly gunning down wife, blaming intruder

Former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn has been tossed in solitary confinement after he allegedly shot his wife dead, according to a report.

Flynn, 39, was placed in a single cell at an Ohio lockup to isolate him for his safety, a veteran corrections officer at the jail told TMZ — who added that fellow inmates have been asking staff about the singer’s whereabouts.

While he’s completely alone, Flynn still has access to a tablet that he can use to make phone calls, watch movies without nudity and read letters, the source said.

The devout Christian is accused of shooting his wife Ashley Flynn, 37, in the head while their two daughters were asleep in their home in Tipp City, located just north of Dayton, on Feb. 16.

Flynn called 911 around 2:30 a.m. telling cops that Ashley had been shot during a burglary — and that he was terrified the killer intruder could still be in their home, according to court documents.

Flynn has been accused of “staging” the scene and leading officers “astray” after claiming someone had broken into their home and gunned Ashley down, according to court papers seen by The Post.

The former music pastor, who gushed about how much he loved his wife when he appeared on “American Idol” in 2013, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
