Jared Leto accused of ‘approaching’ and ‘texting’ underage girls nearly 2 decades before sexual assault allegations

Add Page Six on Google Jared Leto was accused of “approaching” and “texting” underage girls nearly two decades before sexual assault allegations surfaced.

A source alleged to The Post in September 2005 that the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, who was 33 at the time, was “hitting on all” the teenage models at New York City’s Maritime Hotel.

“He’s been approaching all the girls and inviting them to his shows,” the insider claimed at the time, noting that “girls from IMG, Elite, Next and Women [were] staying” at the Meatpacking District hotspot.

“He is constantly texting these other 16 and 17-year-old girls,” the Post reported. “It’s really kind of creepy.”

The source dubbed the actor a “serial texter.”

The report, additionally, highlighted Leto was spotted in Manhattan with Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Olsen, who were both 19 at the time.

Leto’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request at this time.

In June 2025, the “Dallas Buyers Club” star was accused of sexual impropriety by nine women.

The now-54-year-old “expressly denied” all the allegations in the Air Mail exposé at the time.

On Wednesday, four women came forward accusing the Oscar winner of sexual misconduct in the BBC documentary “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret.”

The women — identified by “Isabel,” “Alex,” “Clara” and “Etta” pseudonyms in the doc — alleged they were between 16 and 19 when the acts took place.

The first alleged Leto sexually assaulted her in a motel bathroom in 2002 when she was 17 years old.

“Clara” claimed the Golden Globe winner “shrugged off” a conversation about California’s age of consent when they allegedly had sex in 2006 when she was 17, while “Alex” alleged Leto threatened her with sexual assault in a hotel room in 2013 when she was 19.

As for “Etta,” she accused Leto of grooming her at the age of 16 in 2014, from making repeated sexually explicit calls to suggesting at least once that they have sex.

Four additional women alleged in the documentary that they received explicit phone calls from the “Suicide Squad” star.

Two men who worked with Leto’s band appeared in the BBC project and expressed that staffers felt uncomfortable with the actor’s interactions with teenage girls.
