Streisand and Redford — who died on Sept. 16 at age 89 — costarred in the 1973 classic, “The Way We Were.” (Presumably Babs, 83, will sing the film’s iconic title song which won an Oscar at the 46th Academy Awards in 1974. The film also won for best score, and Streisand was nominated as best actress.)

Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images A source told Page Six Hollywood that Stresiand would sing during the “In Memoriam” segment, which would also likely honor Hollywood icons Rob Reiner, Catherine O’Hara, Diane Keaton and Gene Hackman, as well as Val Kilmer, James Van Der Beek and more.
Streisand has been nominated for 14 Oscars, and won two, as best actress for “Funny Girl” and best song for “A Star Is Born.” Redford also won two Oscars: for his 1981 film, “Ordinary People,” and a 2002 honorary award.
The 98th Academy Awards will be held on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
