With Danny and Evan TV exclusive ‘RHOC’ star Heather Dubrow claps back after Vicki Gunvalson claims she didn’t earn her fortune By Samantha Nungesser, Evan Real and Danny Murphy Published July 28, 2026, 9:54 a.m. ET Heather Dubrow will not apologize for her wealth.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star spoke to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” about Vicki Gunvalson’s claim that she and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, inherited their money after the death of Terry’s brother, Quiet Riot frontman Kevin Dubrow.
“It’s just not true,” Heather, 57, said.
While she confronted Gunvalson about the issue in the “RHOC” Season 20 premiere, the latter seemingly doubled down in her confessional, noting that doctors “don’t live in $40 million mansions.” Moreover, Gunvalson sarcastically wondered if Heather’s “Emmy-award acting” was the source of their wealth.
“To me, when you do things like that, that says something,” Heather said, when asked for her reaction to Gunvalson’s shady confessional.
As for where their money came from, Heather said both she and her plastic surgeon husband, who also stars on E!’s “Botched,” have had “great careers.”
“We’ve also done well, we’ve made good investments, we have the successful businesses that we do,” she explained. “So, am I supposed to apologize that we are smarter and maybe more clever with our investments and money? I’m not sorry.”
Some of those investment wins have come in the form of real estate. In 2022, the couple sold their Newport Beach home (aka Chateau Dubrow) for $55 million. In 2025, they sold their Beverly Hills mansion for $16.5 million after initially listing it for $25 million.
When it comes to claims that they inherited any money from Kevin, who died of an accidental overdose in 2007, Heather said, “I laugh, I roll my eyes. I don’t care. Think whatever you want.”
However, she said her husband, who “lets most things roll off his back,” was “really pissed off.”
When “VRT” caught up with Terry at his wife’s “Champs with Heather Dubrow” event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown Manhattan last week, he blasted Gunvalson for her “insensitive” and “mean” comments about the origin of his wealth.
“If you want to say that, fine. Say it. But bet me,” he fumed. “Until you want to bet me $100,000 that I didn’t inherit a dime from my brother, shut up, Vicki. Leave it alone. You’re just wrong.”

Despite the drama, Heather doesn’t seem ready to give up on her friendship with Gunvalson at this time.
“Vicki and I, throughout the years, have never been close, close friends. But we really enjoy each other,” she said. “What I find is when I’m with her, everything is great, and then out in the public, she has lots of different stories to tell.”
