The poodle, Beyli, was found covered in dust when rescuers discovered him last week curled up next to the body of his owner’s dead mother, Diario de Morelos reported.
He became trapped when two devastating earthquakes — magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 — destroyed a building in the Venezuelan port city of Catia La Mar on June 24.
The video shows him getting water from firefighters as he was first rescued from the rubble.
Remarkably, he is expected to make a full recovery — despite going without food or water for a month.
“Really it is a miracle,” a vet known only as Mirna said. “It is a miracle everything that has happened with him, he has some ulcers in the eyes, but soon he will be fine.”
Beyli’s owner, Victoria Isabel Rengel, 11, lost her mom and grandma in the quakes. She has since been reunited with Beyli and the pair are living in a rescue center.
Beyli is not the only pooch that has been found alive and rescued. Days after the earthquakes struck, a video went viral showing Caracas firefighters pulling a dog from the rubble of a home.
One firefighter even slid a bottle of water to the trapped animal who was pinned under a metal bar.
Another dog, known only as Giselle, was rescued five days after the twin earthquakes struck in under 40 seconds.
More than 5,500 people were killed in the earthquakes, with 16,700 injured. Thousands remain homeless one month on.
