Jakarta police spokesman Budi Hermanto said investigators were still trying to establish how Sutrimo died and were examining whether he had any formal connection to Febrie, who was detained last week after being named a suspect in a money-laundering case.
“It is still being investigated,” Budi said on Sunday, when asked about Sutrimo’s reported link to the former deputy attorney general for special crimes, according to Antara.
The clinic remained sealed with police tape on Monday morning, with iNews reporting no visible further crime-scene processing or police activity at the building.
Police said they had sought information from Sutrimo’s family, the ambulance driver, hospital staff and others who might have knowledge of the incident.
