Add The New York Post on Google English gymnast Gabriel Langton was taken to the hospital Friday following a gruesome fall at the Commonwealth Games.
Langton, 18, was performing his routine on the high bar when he missed a grab and landed in a dangerous position.
The gymnast fell on his head and neck, and remained on the ground as he immediately received medical attention.

Team officials later said Langston was moving and speaking to doctors, according to the PA.
“We are grateful to the medical teams who responded immediately to provide assistance,” a spokesperson later said.

“He [Langton] has been taken to hospital and we will share more information when it is available.”
His teammate, Luke Whitehouse, spoke of how the ugly scene affected the rest of the English squad.
“It was really tough,” Whitehouse said. “We just had to reset, try to put it to one side mentally and focus on the job we had to do. I think everyone should be proud of the way we carried on after Gabe’s fall.

There was a delay after the first warm-up, but we regrouped. The coaches were fantastic, and the boys who had to go up on high bar were incredible. Whitehouse and his teammates bounced back as they finished second behind Canada.
Australia, finished with the bronze medal as they narrowly beat out Scotland.
Langton, as he writes in his Instagram bio, is a five-time medalist in the European championships and was the all-around British U-18 champion in 2024.
