When I asked executives if they thought clubs would be fully declared by the end of this weekend, many forecasted, yes, with a few noting a perception that the Blue Jays already were conceding and wading into the sell waters. But speaking for a few, one NL assistant GM said, “I think decisions will drag close to next weekend.”

Keep in mind that the deadline is a week from Monday at 6 p.m.

The Padres with Mason Miller and Tigers with Tarik Skubal possess perhaps the two most attractive players who could be moved, and both clubs teeter in that middle ground. That freezes action somewhat, as who wants to move big items too quickly and then find out you could have had Miller or Skubal? For this exercise, we are going to assume that both players are available, though a strong chance remains that one or neither moves. We will guess at a landing spot for the major potentially available players with the design being to get a feel for where this market is:
