A police spokesman reported that one body was recovered from inside the aircraft in Ganderkesee, near Bremen. It was initially unclear whether anyone else was on board the aircraft when it crashed.
Search operations by the fire department were still under way at midday. Several media outlets had previously reported on the incident.
The residents of the house were not at home when the plane crashed into the roof. Police gave no further information on the cause of the incident.
Residents within a 100-metre (330 ft) radius of the crash site were evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure. Police said there was no danger to the public. A large police presence was deployed at the scene.
