Based on our findings at Set List FM, the talented pair typically perform a whopping 50 (!) songs between them at live shows.

Notable tracks from Ne-Yo’s back catalog include “So Sick,” “Give Me Everything,” “Miss Independent,” “Closer” and “Time of Our Lives” along with a few cuts from his recently-released country album “Highway 79.”

As for Akon, he delivers fan favorites like “I Wanna Love You,” “Don’t Matter,” “Smack That,” “Lonely” and “Sexy B—-” among others. And, yes, he dips into his new album “Beautiful Day” as well.

Critics have been impressed with their efforts, too.

“Over the course of just under three hours, the duo take turns in the spotlight, the mood seesawing in line with each of them,” The Guardian reported in a review of an April concert in Glasgow. “Ne-Yo is smooth and suave in his vocals and dextrous choreography, an effective contrast to Akon’s all-out charisma and party-starter energy which arrives with classics like ‘Smack That’ – the first time, of many, that the crowd fully loses it.”

Midway through the tour, Ne-Yo dropped his tenth studio album “Highway 79.”

The country offering is a departure for the R&B/pop/dance legend. Still, his radio-friendly sensibilities shine through here as evidenced on the record’s first two tracks, the gritty banger “Up Out & Gone” and two-step ballad “Hate Me Now.”

After a few spins, we fell in love with the lonesome heartbreaker “Wish I Didn’t Know You,” the yearning, twangy “Thinking What I’m Thinking,” the goofy sing-a-long “Ms. Tundra,” smoky, seductive “Next Round On Me” and explosive instant classic “Simple Things.”

Best of all though is the invigorating “Dance Right Now.” The whirling tune steadily builds to a climax that will make you feel like you’re twisting and turning on the floor with the one you love. Sure, it may be country but this one is irresistible regardless what your thoughts on the genre are.

On April 24, Akon released his sixth studio album “Beautiful Day.”

As expected, Akon’s iconic vocals are the star here. His effortless singing guides the upbeat first track “AKON’S BEAUTIFUL DAY” and lead the way throughout.

Standouts include the slinky duet “NEVER REALLY MATTERED” feat. SIMIEN, twinkly afrobeat bop “RINGTONE,” triumphant anthem “WAY UP DER,” primal jam “HUAWEI” and sensual, fun-loving “LONG ROAD.”

The real highlight though has to be the fiery, dance floor-ready “QUE CALOR,” which melds salsa, EDM and Akon’s voice to create a steamy song of the summer candidate.

To hear for yourself, you can find “Beautiful Day” here.

Many of the world’s most gifted party-starters will be out and about strutting their stuff all year long.

Here are just five of our favorites you won’t want to miss IRL.
