Democrats against Trump’s Iran attack: Letters to the Editor — March 4, 2026

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez at the TU Berlin discussing with students on the state of politics in the US and the role of young people. ZUMAPRESS.com The Issue: Mayor Mamdani, AOC and other Democrats’ criticism of the US-Israel strikes on Iran.

It’s no surprise Mayor Mamdani, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar and others are against President Trump’s Iran strikes (“Lefty pols rip strikes as ‘illegal,’ ” March 1).

Democrats love to protect autocratic thugs like those of the Iranian regime who torture, gun down and rape people.

The regime recently murdered over 30,000 Iranian citizens.

They beat the life out of young women for wanting to feel the breeze in their hair and they’ve hung men for homosexuality.

Apparently innocent Muslim lives are not so precious to Democrats when those lives are snuffed out by Iran’s mullahs.

I couldn’t help but chuckle at the comments made by AOC, Omar and many more Democrats and even Republicans like Rep. Thomas Massie over the fact that Trump didn’t consult them before striking Iran.

So they could sprint to the media which would’ve broadcast Trump’s plan, thus warning Iran of what was coming.

Do Mamdani and other progressives think Americans want to commit suicide via a nuclear bomb from Iran?

That monstrous regime repeatedly said that the United States is the “Great Satan” and should be abolished off the earth.

How can they reject the idea that their nuclear program should be disassembled?

Democrats like California Rep. Eric Swalwell have the nerve to talk about the War Powers Act when former President Bill Clinton did not ask Congress to allow him to send troops to the Balkans.

Barack Obama also advocated for a change of regime in Iran.

Democrats’ reactions to Trump’s Iran strike are driven by personal hatred rather than acknowledgment of the situation.

For more than 47 years, the Iranian regime has caused harm to its own people and the world.

I have seen reports suggesting a large portion of Iranians want change.

From my perspective, the world should appreciate actions that aim to reduce harm and promote freedom, regardless of whether you support the president.

Unfortunately, there are Democrats and European leaders who would rather live in fear than stand up to demonic leaders.

Let’s not forget the Obama and Biden administrations enabled this devil by unfreezing billions of dollars for Iran.

Once again, Trump is cleaning up the mess of weak Democrats that leaders like Ali Khamenei took advantage of.

Mamdani, who condemns Israel, tells the press that he is outraged by the attack on Iran.

Yet he allows our NYPD officers to be attacked and calls it a snowball fight.

The hypocrisy of this man and all he stands for makes this old native New Yorker fearful of the wrath he will bestow on us.

Of course, Mamdani is upset the ayatollah is dead; he loves terrorism and Iran was the world’s #1 sponsor of terrorism.

Mamdani promised to cut New York City’s anti-terrorism task force.

He hates Jews and Israel even more than he hates Trump.

While over 30,000 Iranian protesters were murdered by the Iranian rulers, not a word was heard from Mamdani.

Now he’s condemning the United States and Israel for what he perceives as aggression.

Never a word about deadly and destructive attacks on Israel and never a rejection of Iran’s call to annihilate Israel and threaten US interests.

This is what we must endure for the next four years.

If Obama attacked Iran, Democrats would say how courageous he was.
