Kowloon City Court Magistrate Tsang Chung-yiu on Tuesday told the student to reflect on his actions as he spent the next few months at the Sha Tsui Correctional Institution, which is for young offenders.

The defendant earlier pleaded guilty to a count of attempted voyeurism.

He was caught in the act by the victim in the female toilets at a secondary school in Wong Tai Sin on December 11, 2025.

According to the prosecution, the victim noticed someone placing a palm on the floor in the adjacent cubicle. She bent down to look and saw the defendant attempting to spy on her.

She subsequently walked out of the toilet and reported the incident to a teacher.
