Mark Consuelos says talk show with Kelly Ripa is affecting intimacy in marriage

Mark Consuelos revealed that “Live With Kelly and Mark” prohibits him and his wife, Kelly Ripa, from being able to have morning sex.

“I’ve got to tell you, this job has really gotten in the way of that. It’s been the antidote for it,” Consuelos admitted on Tuesday’s episode of the ABC show.

Although the actor was quite upset by the schedule interrupting their time for intimacy in the morning, Ripa seemed to be relieved as she has voiced how “repulsive” she finds morning sex.

Tuesday’s guest Christa Miller agreed with Ripa’s take and shared that she has the same problem with her husband, Bill Lawrence, who also prefers morning sex.

“Bill, for the love of God,” Ripa said, looking into the camera. “On behalf of all of us here in the studio audience, there is absolutely no morning sex.”

But Consuelos interjected, saying, “I don’t know, Bill. Something tells me you should go for it.”

Ripa, 55, slammed her husband’s “disgusting” sexual desire last July during her appearance on Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.

“I don’t know about you, in your marriage, but I’m going to go personal. Are you an evening person or a morning person?” Ripa asked Hirsch at the time, to which the podcast host replied, “Definitely evening. Do not breathe on me in the morning.”

She then revealed that Consuelos, 54, wants to have sex “only in the morning,” but she “find[s] it disgusting.”

Ripa also called “Live With Kelly and Mark” a “miracle” since it makes it almost impossible to make morning sex work.

“The greatest thing about this job, this thing has like, almost repulsed him from morning time during the work week.”

“May this show last until he suffers from erectile dysfunction,” she prayed jokingly.

The couple are known to divulge secrets of their sex life on their shared talk show.

In an episode of the show last May, the pair revealed they like being empty nesters because it allows for “nudity in the household wherever you want.”

“Total freak show all the time,” Ripa cheekily added of her husband.
