Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the fifth installment in Disney’s franchise about the kids of famous Disney villains, premieres today, July 16, reuniting viewers with Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe Charming (Malia Baker).
As the closing narration of Descendants: The Rise of Red implied, Red and Chloe’s time travel will, indeed, have some dangerous consequences. By changing the past and stopping Red’s mom, the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), from becoming a villain, they also created a new villain: Maddox Hatter (Leonardo Nam), the son of the Mad Hatter.
When Maddox kidnaps the Queen of Hearts, it’s up to Red and Chloe to assemble a team of new hero and villain kids to save her.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland will be released today, July 16, on the Disney Channel. It will then drop on Disney+ tomorrow, July 17.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland comes out at 7 p.m. ET tonight on Disney Channel.
The only way to watch Disney Channel live without a cable subscription is by using a live TV streaming service. Our favorite is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial before payment begins.
DIRECTV offers a number of flexible subscription options, including Genre Packs, so you can best choose which streaming plans fit your needs and budget. Packs and plans, including Disney Channel, start at $20.99/month.
If you don’t want to watch live and can wait until tomorrow, Disney+ offers a number of subscription options, so you can find the one that works for you. With ads, a subscription costs $11.99/month; without ads, it’s $18.99/month or $189.99/year.
As we mentioned above, Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker reprise their roles as Red and Chloe Charming, respectively. Here’s who else you’ll see on screen in Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.
