Add The California Post on Google Los Angeles Angels fans don’t have a lot to be excited about right now. Their team has a 38-59 record headed into the MLB All-Star break, and don’t appear to be anywhere close to contending as a team in the relatively near future.
The silver lining for Los Angeles is that they still have star outfielder Mike Trout, who’s the Angels’ lone representative at the 2026 MLB All-Star Game, which takes place on July 14.

The couple was also both teir two sons, Beckham Aaron and Jordy Michael.

While the now 34-year-old Trout will likely never be the perennial MVP contender that he once was earlier in his career, fans are just glad to see him experience a healthy (for the most part) 2026 campaign. And he has produced on the field, as shown by his 18 home runs, 39 RBIs, and .863 OPS to this point in the season.
Trout is slated to bat leadoff and play center field for the All-Star Game, which means that he’s guaranteed at least one at-bat against NL starting pitcher Phillies left-handed pitcher Cristopher Sanchez (who will be pitching in front of his Philadelphia Phillies home crowd).
Angels fans should savor every opportunity to watch Trout perform in the All-Star Game, if only because they don’t get many chances to see him at-bat when the stakes are high.
