Add The California Post on Google The biggest name in Mixed Martial Arts history is making his return on July 11, as Conor McGregor is facing off against Max Holloway at UFC 329 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This marks the first time McGregor has entered the octagon since 2021, when he suffered a gruesome broken leg in the middle of a fight. There’s a ton of interest in how he’ll fare in this return bout against Holloway, especially because Max has remained active in recent years, and always fights against world-class opponents.
Because of McGregor’s inactivity, many feel like Holloway has the advantage. Not to mention that McGregor has had numerous distractions and legal proceedings outside of the sport, while Holloway’s personal life has remained stable.
In fact, Holloway got married to Alessa Quizon got married in April 16 of 2022, about two years after they initially met.
The couple is still going strong, and Alessa is sure to be in the building for Saturday’s fight. She also turned heads with an Instagram post she made on July 7, which included several photos of her in a bikini. One of them was a leopard-print bikini, where she was eating a cup of noodles.
Given that the Holloway family lives in Hawaii and is constantly on the beach surfing, both Max and Alessa spend a lot of time in swimsuits. Holloway has also spent a lot of time in the UFC octagon in his career, as his eight hours, 52 minutes, and 43 seconds of UFC fights is the most in the promotion’s history.
He’ll be adding to that against McGregor on Saturday. But there’s a chance the bout won’t last very long, given both’s ability to knock the other out.
