Reddit debate reveals Las Vegas has become far more than a gambling destination for millions of visitors

Video 'Pawn Stars' boss Rick Harrison reveals what's really keeping Vegas alive "Pawn Stars" boss Rick Harrison tells Fox News Digital his thoughts on whether in-person gambling is dying in Las Vegas.

A fierce debate is erupting online about gambling and Las Vegas.

As our loyal readers know, I'm a huge fan of Sin City. I was built for Las Vegas and Vegas was built for me.

It's a magical place with endless opportunities. Whether it's hitting the tables or hitting the bars, it's always the highest of highs and lowest of lows.

A Reddit thread popped up this week titled, "Do People Really Go To Vegas Without Gambling?"

FANDUEL, BRYCE HARPER VIDEO TO LOSING GAMBLER REINFORCES THE GREED OF THE MLB, SPORTSBOOKS AND THE UNION

Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird when people spend thousands of dollars to come to Las Vegas and never gamble? I’m not saying you need to blow your vacation budget chasing jackpots, but at least sit down at a cheap blackjack table, throw twenty bucks in a slot, or make one sports bet. To me, the casinos are the whole reason Vegas became Vegas. The restaurants, shows, pools, and everything else are awesome, but they’re all built around gambling. I honestly can’t imagine flying home without at least giving the casino a shot. Is that just the gambler in me or does anyone else feel the same?

It was off to the races from there in the comments, and reactions of all different kinds were flowing in. Check out some of the responses below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com:

Admittedly, I'm a little surprised by how many people responded (there are way more not shown) they don't do much gambling while in Las Vegas.

That's literally one of the main reasons I go. Nothing hits harder than the boys taking over an entire blackjack table. Now, to be clear, I only gamble when I'm in Las Vegas. I don't do it any other time of the year. It's definitely only vacation behavior.

I, maybe foolishly, assumed a lot of people were the same. I guess not. To be fair, there are some awesome places to see and eat in Las Vegas. Trust me, I've checked out my fair share, but how do people not throw down a single hand of blackjack on an entire trip?

The thought of going to Las Vegas and doing zero gambling is breaking my brain.
