On Peacock, you can catch The Five Star Weekend, the drama starring Jennifer Garner as a woman dealing with her grief by reconnecting with four of her closest old friends. And on Netflix, check out the reboot of Little House on the Prairie, about a family searching for hope and adventure as they move to the American West in the 1800s. And on HBO Max, check out The Man Will Burn, a docu-series about the annual spiritual and cultural experience in the desert, Burning Man, and how it’s changed over the years.

This week marks the arrival of two highly anticipated new series. First up, there’s The Five Star Weekend, a show that gives Jennifer Garner the chance to flex those Pretend Cooking Show muscles by playing a food influencer dealing with some real-life trauma. And on Netflix, you can catch Little House on the Prairie, a rebooted version of the famous Laura Ingalls Wilder stories. And if you’ve always been curious what Burning Man is like but never actually wanted to be that close to the fire, check out The Man Will Burn on HBO Max, a new docu-series about the infamous, self-governed festival and the devotees who flock to it.
Jennifer Garner stars in Peacock’s new series The Five Star Weekend, based on the novel by Elin Hilderbrand, about a woman who deals with a traumatic loss by inviting four friends from all different stages of her life to her luxe compound on Nantucket for the weekend. D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Chloe Sevigny and Regina Hall play the friends. All eight episodes of the show arrived on Thursday.
Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s beloved book series of the same name, Little House on the Prairie is a Netflix Original historical family drama series that centers on the tight-knit Ingalls family as they attempt to forge a new life together out West in the late 1800s. For some of us, it seems impossible to replace or reboot the original series that we grew up on in the early 1980s, but the new series breathes new life into the familiar story. Alice Halsey, Luke Bracey, Crosby Fitzgerald, and Skywalker Hughes star as the Ingalls family and the first season consists of eight episodes which are all out now.
In The Man Will Burn, filmmakers Jehane Noujaim and Vikram Gandhi explore the roots of the countercultural festival known as Burning Man. With exclusive access to Burning Man Project leadership, the four-episode docu-series explores the festival’s history and crises it has faced over the years.
