Graham Platner, accused of abusing women? We did Nazi that coming

Add The California Post on Google 1. The virtue of poverty

Left-wing influencers are overjoyed following release of the UBS Global Wealth Report, which indicates America is (surprise!) insanely rich, but the richest Americans are (surprise, part 2) far richer than the average Joe — an historic level of “wealth inequality,” they’re screaming, as if this is self-evidently outrageous.

Unfortunately, as the average American struggles to cover rent, billionaires make fantastic cover, and the press has done a great job convincing centrists that crippling left-wing housing policies, mass migration, and endemic fraud are evil things to talk about.

But the fact remains, you’re not having a hard time buying a house because the guy who delivers baby diapers to your doorstep has a yacht. You’re having a hard time buying a house because you voted for people who hate you, if not as much as they hate Elon.

And if they can hurt him at a cost to you? They’d genuinely rather you be poor.

It’s easy to scapegoat one thing — the economy, the damn phones, the DoorDasher who “lost” my order — but this is a cultural issue with no easy policy fix.

The child-free phenomenon is most pronounced in young, left-leaning voters: Not only are they having fewer children but they desire to have fewer children.

Per the Institute for Family Studies, progressive women aged 18–24 want fewer than two kids, while young conservatives want more.

That might explain why being called “childless cat ladies” sent Democrats into DEFCON 1. But who’s actually having 2+ kids in America? Mormons and Orthodox Jews.

There is no magic in dirty sodas or untrimmed sideburns (I checked). Reject modernity, marry young and take the whole being-fruitful-and-multiply thing seriously.

This week, a shocked nation discovered that Graham Platner — the man who walked into a seedy Croatian tattoo shop, saw a drawing of a Nazi skull, and said ‘that will look good emblazoned across my torso forever’ — apparently makes bad decisions sometimes.

A woman who described her previous relationship with the Senate candidate as (much like a concealed Totenkopf) “on-and-off again” said that a drunken Platner once broke into her home and raped her, prompting multiple Democrat talking heads to rescind their endorsements.

‘But Riley, didn’t another chick literally just accuse this guy of abuse? Where were all these wise, moral talking heads then?’

Ah, well that woman was a Republican, and Article 8.17 of the #MeToo Doctrine states that allegations only count if they were levied by a Democrat and/or funded in court by Reid Hoffman.
